about
The seven-member outfit who combine pop melodies with horns and synths to create energetic hopeful pop songs pared down the arrangement from their lead single to just strings, keys and a faint acoustic guitar.
“Our shows are usually wild and dance-y, which we absolutely love, but we always revel in an opportunity to bring out the softer side of the band," Said lead singer David Wimbish. "Even as the album arrangement came together, I always knew I wanted to hear a softer version.
“We were preparing to spend a lot of the year on tour together,” said Wimbish, “but the pandemic hit and we each ended up a bit isolated. It forced us to explore new ways of writing and arranging from afar, and that's how this arrangement came together. It felt like the perfect fall track to celebrate the anniversary of the record.”

it's such a beautiful album of grieving and loss and acceptance. it speaks to a particular kind of grief -- not a grieving of one who is lost, but the grieving for one who is still present and still causing pain. i love the last song most because while it could end in pain, or end with the narrators decision to permanently push this person out of their life and that would be justified, it doesn't. instead, it offers something. what is offered? acceptance. hope. and a chance for redemption janmisha

This album is single-handedly getting me through my seasonal depression. Captures the energy of the season perfectly, and with a nice hopeful message to remind myself to keep going. <33 redrevelry
